The Equalizer trilogy director Antoine Fuqua will take the reins of the biopic in his hands. Jackson’s nephew Jaafar is set to play Michael in the new movie. “It’s incredibly exciting to watch Jaafar bring Michael to life. There was such a spiritual connection when I first met Jaafar, who has a natural ability to emulate Michael and such a great chemistry with the camera,” Fuqua said in a statement to Variety.
The film will highlight MJ’s triumphs and tragedies. Producer Graham King said, “It was clear that Jaafar is the only person to take on this role.” The biopic film will be ready to release worldwide on April 18, 2025.
