Nya’s performance on American Idol
During her Hawaii audition, Nya performed Willow Smith’s ‘Wait a Minute!’ and impressed all with her immersive singing skills. She got a big ‘yes’ from all three judges and received a standing ovation, resulting in a golden ticket to Hollywood.
American Idol judge Luke Bryan was enthralled with Nya’s talent. He called her Hawaii audition as his ‘favorite’ of the ongoing season. Luke adds, “Maybe my favorite performance or audition this year, thus far. The most impressive thing is you don’t sound like Broadway… You are a massive singer, a massive personality.”
